Job Requirements

  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality of food according to policies and procedures
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and organized
  • Maintain all serving schedules and ensure food items are served per menu specifications
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed to ensure correct production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees promoting growth, efficiency, and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor other food service workers
  • Maintain logs on maintenance required on equipment
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • Recommend replacement of equipment to meet facility needs
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
