Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- strong communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- capacity to train and mentor staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
- must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program
- ability to perform basic arithmetic
- maintain emotional control under stress
- ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
- direct daily activities
- maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and procedures
- ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
- maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications
- maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes
- maintain accurate inventory weekly
- prepare orders as needed
- supervise and evaluate employees
- promote employee growth, morale, and teamwork
- maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
- train and mentor food service workers
- maintain logs on equipment maintenance
- ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective action
- perform preventative maintenance checklist
- recommend replacement of equipment
- multitask proficiently
- perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
- fill in for absent employees
- manage daily catering event preparation and delivery
- work occasional night and weekend catered events
- attend food service meetings
- maintain communication with staff
- perform cashier duties as needed
- promote good public relations
