As part of Aramark's dynamic Food Services Team, the Food Service Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading and coordinating daily food service operations. The Food Service Supervisor works closely alongside the Food Service Manager to oversee staff, manage scheduling, enforce food safety and quality standards, and maintain sanitation in accordance with health regulations. Responsibilities also include inventory management, employee training and mentoring, as well as coordinating catered events and other special food service functions. The position demands strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and the capacity to maintain composure and resolve interpersonal issues under stress.

This role requires adaptability to work varied schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays, particularly during catering events. There is no predetermined recruitment window; the position will remain open until a suitably qualified candidate is selected. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions
  • Completion of sanitation course either before or during first year
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stressful situations
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to multitask and manage a team effectively

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • Ensure food items are stored in a safe and organized environment
  • Maintain serving schedules ensuring food is served per menu specifications
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promote employee growth and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor other food service workers
  • Maintain logs on maintenance required on equipment
  • Ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective action
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend replacement of equipment to meet facility needs
  • Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings with staff
  • Maintain communication with staff through various channels
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
