Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of prior food service management experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Serv-Safe certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, twist, and work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Dexterity to use kitchen equipment including knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries
- Desire to learn new products and recipes
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Commitment to safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in food service management
- Knowledge of fresh food preparation and merchandising
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills and ability to use registers and scales
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new recipes and products
Job Duties
- Direct department personnel, meeting department goals and objectives, communicating directly with store management and department supervisors
- Select, onboard, and coach all new team members
- Schedule all team members
- Engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling, and always giving a genuine thank you
- Take customer orders, ensure orders are completed on time and to customer satisfaction
- Ensure department personnel follow all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies
- Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards
