Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nutrition, Home Economics, Food Service Management, or Hospitality
  • Food Handling Certificate recognized by the Cabell County Health Department upon employment and updates as required by county mandate or Serv Safe certification required
  • Serv Safe certification must be obtained within one year of employment and certification kept current
  • Minimum of two years of management experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nutrition, Home Economics, Food Service Management, or Hospitality
  • Minimum of two years management experience
  • Food Handling Certificate or Serv Safe certification required
  • Serv Safe certification must be obtained and kept current within one year of employment

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of production and patient care staff
  • Manage the department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director Executive Chef
  • Assist in coordinating activities with other hospital departments
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
  • Maintain current food handling and Serv Safe certifications
  • Train and oversee staff performance
  • Manage daily operations of the food service department
