Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nutrition, Home Economics, Food Service Management, or Hospitality
Food Handling Certificate recognized by the Cabell County Health Department upon employment and updates as required by county mandate or Serv Safe certification required
Serv Safe certification must be obtained within one year of employment and certification kept current
Minimum of two years of management experience

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nutrition, Home Economics, Food Service Management, or Hospitality
Minimum of two years management experience
Food Handling Certificate or Serv Safe certification required
Serv Safe certification must be obtained and kept current within one year of employment

Job Duties

Supervise and coordinate activities of production and patient care staff
Manage the department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director Executive Chef
Assist in coordinating activities with other hospital departments
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
Maintain current food handling and Serv Safe certifications
Train and oversee staff performance
Manage daily operations of the food service department
