Job Duties

  • Prepare gourmet food and baked products according to an organized menu
  • Prepare a daily report that ensures the legitimacy of transactions
  • Know the contents of a meal
  • Ensure food is stored correctly and under sanitary conditions
  • Adhere to meal schedules and departmental guidelines when serving food to clients
  • Employ and preserve kitchen gadgets, notably knives, for safe and efficient food preparation
  • Ensure timely preparation of various food items, beverages, and snacks
  • Improve customer satisfaction and visual appeal through addition of garnishes
  • Aid in overseeing and coordinating thorough cleaning of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving utilities
  • Maintain food safety by following guidelines for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Maintain daily communication with supervisor to accurately prepare and understand the daily menu
  • Control and monitor food temperature standards
  • Keep work and storage areas tidy and systematically arranged
  • Keep equipment clean and sanitized by scrubbing counters, shining surfaces, and cleaning steam tables
  • Follow protocols and norms for cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing tasks
  • Keep garbage collection site and kitchen flooring tidy and hygienic
