Job Requirements

  • Pre-employment drug testing and criminal background check
  • Must attain ServSAFE certification within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to supervise and manage shift operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitary standards
  • Ability to maintain clean and compliant food service environments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Must be in probationary status for at least six months

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of food service experience in a food service operation
  • OR three years of training in food technology, food service management or related curriculum in a trade school or technical institute
  • OR thirty-six semester hours in food and nutrition, dietetics, food service preparation, home economics, or hotel, food service, restaurant, or institutional management

Job Duties

  • Serve as shift supervisor of food service operation and catering services ensuring all duty stations are manned on assigned shift
  • Ensure adherence to opening and closing procedures of all workstations including cashier positions
  • Check menu items and ensure all supplies are stocked and available
  • Obtain supplies from storage rooms and ensure items are prepared, cooked, and served according to quality and quantity standards
  • Monitor cleanliness of food service operation ensuring compliance with sanitary codes
  • Evaluate performance of lower level Food Service Specialists and approve their leave
  • Participate in interview panels for hiring lower-level Food Service Specialists
