Job Requirements
- Pre-employment drug testing and criminal background check
- Must attain ServSAFE certification within 60 days of hire
- Ability to supervise and manage shift operations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitary standards
- Ability to maintain clean and compliant food service environments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Must be in probationary status for at least six months
Job Qualifications
- Three years of food service experience in a food service operation
- OR three years of training in food technology, food service management or related curriculum in a trade school or technical institute
- OR thirty-six semester hours in food and nutrition, dietetics, food service preparation, home economics, or hotel, food service, restaurant, or institutional management
Job Duties
- Serve as shift supervisor of food service operation and catering services ensuring all duty stations are manned on assigned shift
- Ensure adherence to opening and closing procedures of all workstations including cashier positions
- Check menu items and ensure all supplies are stocked and available
- Obtain supplies from storage rooms and ensure items are prepared, cooked, and served according to quality and quantity standards
- Monitor cleanliness of food service operation ensuring compliance with sanitary codes
- Evaluate performance of lower level Food Service Specialists and approve their leave
- Participate in interview panels for hiring lower-level Food Service Specialists
