This includes coaching teams on production schedules, food safety practices, and quality standards in line with federal, state, and district regulations.
The supervisor is also actively involved in policy formulation, recipe analysis, menu planning, and ensuring that all food programs adhere to nutrition standards. The role extends to coordinating catering events, conducting taste tests to evaluate food quality, and resolving complaints related to food service operations. Additionally, the supervisor manages the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen and food service equipment, emphasizing the importance of preventative maintenance and facility sanitation.
The position requires administrative capabilities as well, including maintaining accurate reports, payroll records, and work schedules, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with district policies.
