Job Description

SSA Group, LLC, has been a trusted partner to cultural attractions for more than 50 years, specializing in creating exceptional hospitality experiences that allow our clients to remain mission-focused. As a multifaceted hospitality company, SSA Group expertly integrates admissions, culinary services, and retail operations with innovative solutions and a strong emphasis on human connection. This holistic approach shapes a seamless guest journey that balances operational intelligence with heartfelt service. Our commitment to people, innovation, and operational excellence is encapsulated in our 452 Hospitality philosophy, which serves as the foundation for how we serve our partners and their respective communities. We place high value on creating special moments that leave lasting impressions on every guest and client we encounter.

We are currently seeking a Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, the Prep Cook will play a key role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing a wide variety of ingredients essential to menu execution. This role involves tasks such as washing, chopping, seasoning, and marinating ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, assisting with inventory management, ensuring proper storage of food items, and passionately adhering to nutrition and sanitation guidelines. Beyond these duties, the Prep Cook will also participate in other kitchen-related tasks as assigned to support the flow and quality of the culinary team’s output.

The ideal candidate will embody the principles of 452 Hospitality by delivering warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences to every guest and client while remaining adaptable in a fast-paced environment. A strong knowledge of health and safety standards is essential, and the Prep Cook must possess manual dexterity to safely operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils. Communication skills and teamwork are highly valued, as is patience and a positive attitude under pressure. Flexibility with varying work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. We value diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (IDEA) and promote an inclusive and supportive culture. Candidates will be part of a team that removes barriers and empowers growth and opportunity at all levels while actively engaging in sustainability and community outreach efforts that align with our values. This role is ideal for someone who has prior kitchen experience, culinary education, or equivalent training and ideally holds a food handling license.

SSA Group offers competitive compensation, including eligibility for overtime pay and participation in an On-Demand Pay Program allowing employees early access to earned wages. Employees enjoy meal plans and discounts at applicable locations, a 401(k) program with a company match, tuition discounts, bereavement leave, holiday pay, and paid sick leave in accordance with local laws. We embrace equal opportunity employment and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, believing that such inclusivity strengthens our team and our work. SSA Group operates in multiple locations across the United States, including Arizona, California, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and many other states, ensuring regional compliance with sick leave and labor laws. This is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career in a respected, mission-driven hospitality organization that values both its guests and its team members.
