The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a vital management position focused on developing and implementing dining solutions that meet customer needs and preferences. The manager is responsible for leading daily team briefings, ensuring safety and sanitation standards, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, wage, and hour regulations.

Beyond leadership, the Food Service Manager must actively maintain client relationships by identifying client needs and communicating operational progress effectively. Financial management is a critical component as well, involving the completion and maintenance of profit and loss statements, achieving financial targets, and utilizing Aramark's processes and systems to improve operational margins through data-driven decisions. Productivity is closely monitored by ensuring cost controls, managing profits, meeting food and labor operational initiatives, and supervising teams to maintain quality and control.

Additional responsibilities include leading the front of house operations in cafeteria or residential dining facilities in collaboration with the Food Service Director. The manager plans, directs, and coordinates foodservice activities to deliver finished products that meet both client and customer expectations. Physical demands of the role include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods, highlighting the active nature of this leadership position.
