They offer a work environment focused on professional growth, skill development, and fulfillment, making it an attractive choice for individuals seeking a rewarding career in food services and hospitality.

The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a vital management position responsible for developing and implementing dining solutions that cater to customer needs and preferences. This role involves overseeing and managing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu, ensuring that the entire dining experience meets high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership skills to engage and develop team members, utilizing Aramark's coaching model to unlock each individual's full potential. The Food Service Manager is tasked with rewarding and recognizing employees, maintaining team performance in line with client expectations, and leading daily team briefings to align efforts and foster communication.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, this role requires maintaining safety and sanitation standards within all operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, wage, and hour regulations. The Food Service Manager maintains close relationships with clients by identifying their needs and effectively communicating operational progress to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal service delivery.

From a financial perspective, the Food Service Manager is responsible for preparing and maintaining profit and loss (P&L) statements, achieving company and client financial goals, and adopting Aramark’s processes and systems to analyze performance metrics, order trends, and inventory data. This data-driven approach enables the manager to educate their team on best practices for improving margins while upholding quality.

Operational efficiency is another focal point, with the Food Service Manager ensuring cost controls and profit management are in place, following the Operational Excellence fundamentals to meet food and labor initiatives. The position also includes supervising the team regarding food production, quality control, and ensuring the entire team is trained to perform their duties effectively.

The role includes additional responsibilities such as leading the front-of-house operations in cafeterias or residential dining facilities alongside the Food Service Director, planning, directing, and coordinating food service activities to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Candidates for this position must be able to handle occasional physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Overall, the Food Service Manager position at Aramark offers an opportunity to join a globally recognized company focused on service excellence, professional growth, and community impact. Individuals in this role are expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, uphold excellent customer service standards, and foster collaborative relationships across departments to ensure a unified and satisfying dining experience for all customers.
