Aramark is a global leader in food and facilities management services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. Rooted deeply in service and united by a shared purpose, Aramark focuses on making a positive impact for its employees, clients, communities, and the planet. The company prioritizes equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive workplace where every team member has the opportunity to participate fully, regardless of race, color, religion, nationality, age, gender, or any other protected characteristics. At Aramark, employees are encouraged to develop their talents, pursue their passions, and achieve professional growth, making it more than just a workplace but a career destination that values each individual’s contribution and potential.
The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This position involves developing and implementing dining solutions that meet customer tastes and needs while ensuring outstanding customer service and operational excellence. As a Food Service Manager, you will lead the front of the house dining operations, working closely with the Food Service Director to plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver high-quality finished products to customers. Your leadership will be critical in fostering a motivated team environment using Aramark’s coaching model to engage and develop team members to their fullest capabilities.
The role encompasses various responsibilities including managing safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees. Financial performance is a significant aspect, requiring you to ensure the maintenance of profit and loss statements, deliver client and company financial targets, and educate teams on key performance metrics to improve operational margins. Operational productivity is also pivotal, where you will drive efficient operations through appropriate cost control, labor management, and adherence to food and labor initiatives.
The manager will have direct involvement in client relationship management by identifying client needs and maintaining clear communication about operational progress to ensure satisfaction and mutual business benefit. Compliance with relevant policies, health codes, and labor regulations is mandatory, ensuring all operations adhere to applicable rules and policies. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
In joining Aramark as a Food Service Manager, you are stepping into a dynamic environment where your efforts contribute to memorable customer experiences and the overall success of the dining operations. Aramark supports career development by providing opportunities to learn new skills and grow professionally within a global company dedicated to service excellence and sustainability. Whether you are seeking a challenging role or a supportive community, Aramark offers a workplace that values your contributions and helps you unlock your full potential. Salary and employment specifics vary by location but are competitive within the food service management industry, reflecting the responsibility and impact of this critical role.
