The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a critical management position responsible for overseeing dining operations and developing effective dining solutions that meet customer needs and preferences. This role also emphasizes building strong client relationships by identifying client needs and clearly communicating operational progress. Financial accountability is a key part of the position, requiring the Food Service Manager to maintain and complete profit and loss statements, achieve financial targets, and educate teams on operational processes and key performance metrics to improve financial margins. Productivity enhancements through efficient operations, cost control, and labor management are also fundamental duties, along with supervising team production quality and control.
The Food Service Manager ensures compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and regulations relating to safety, health, wage, and working hours. Additional responsibilities include directing food service activities to deliver finished products to customers and partnering with the Food Service Director to lead front-of-house dining operations in cafeteria or residential dining settings. Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in food service or related field
- at least 1 year of management experience
- willingness to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods
- ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and team members
- familiarity with safety, health, and sanitation regulations
- ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- availability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
