Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. With a deep commitment to service, Aramark focuses on doing great things for employees, partners, communities, and the planet by fostering an inclusive work environment. The company emphasizes equal employment opportunities and is dedicated to growing the careers and talents of its workforce. The organization values diversity and prohibits discrimination based on characteristics such as race, religion, gender, disability, and more, aligning with its mission to create a workplace where all employees can thrive.
As a Food Service Manager at Aramark, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This management position demands a hands-on approach to developing and implementing effective dining solutions tailored to meet customer needs and preferences. You will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences by ensuring operational excellence, safety, sanitation, and financial performance.
In this role, you will use Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members to their fullest potential, fostering a culture of recognition and reward. Daily team briefings will be part of your responsibility to ensure that individual and team performance aligns with company objectives and client expectations. Your leadership will extend to supervising food production, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and labor regulations.
Additionally, you will manage client relationships by understanding client needs and communicating operational progress effectively. A strong focus on financial performance is key, where you will be expected to maintain profit and loss statements, meet financial targets, and implement processes that improve margins through data-driven decision making.
The Food Service Manager will also drive productivity by managing cost controls, food, and labor initiatives while ensuring that the team is properly trained to execute operations efficiently. As the front-of-house lead in conjunction with the Food Service Director, you will coordinate activities within cafeterias or residential dining facilities, ensuring quality food service delivery and customer satisfaction.
This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds. To be successful in this role, you should have at least one year of experience in food service management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain positive client and customer relationships. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Joining Aramark means embarking on a career path that fosters professional growth and development. The company is committed to adapting job duties as needed to meet operational demands, encouraging employees to develop new skills and contribute to a positive workplace. If you are passionate about food service management and customer satisfaction, this role offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a respected global company.
