The Food Service Manager position at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Elkins Park is a pivotal leadership role within Aramark Healthcare+. This management position is responsible for the oversight and development of dining solutions tailored to meet customer preferences and needs. The role requires comprehensive planning, administration, and direction of all food service unit activities, ensuring full compliance with both company standards and regulatory requirements. The manager will lead and develop a team of hourly food service employees, fostering effective interdepartmental relationships to deliver a cohesive foodservice experience for patients, residents, visitors, and staff alike.

The Food Service Manager’s responsibilities encompass managing patient services and retail food service operations, making this role critical to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The Food Service Manager will supervise and train Food Service Supervisors and frontline staff, managing performance related to food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.

With responsibility for scheduling and resource allocation, the Food Service Manager ensures that labor and materials are effectively controlled within budgetary guidelines, maintaining adequate staffing levels and supply adequacy. Job Duties

  • delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs
  • drives patient and customer satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding
  • ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards
  • manages food cost, procurement, and controls waste
  • supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of Food Service Supervisors and/or front-line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control and cash handling
  • manages and controls labor, resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels and cost control within budgetary guidelines
  • responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ food service systems
  • utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/patient needs and to improve services
