This position reports directly to the Food Service Director and is responsible for planning, administering, and directing all unit activities related to food service. The manager ensures strict compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ standards, regulatory agency requirements, and client expectations to provide outstanding food quality and meal delivery. A key focus is fostering excellent working relationships across departments to promote a seamless and positive food service experience for all stakeholders. The Food Service Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational performance, patient and customer satisfaction, and cost control. Responsibilities include overseeing food safety, sanitation, labor management, procurement, waste reduction, and staff performance. Managing scheduling and responding to customer feedback for continuous improvement are also essential functions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of food service management experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to comply with company and regulatory policies

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of food service management experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Computer skills

Job Duties

  • Deliver strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs
  • Drive patient and customer satisfaction and maintain client relationships through rounding
  • Ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards
  • Manage food cost, procurement, and control waste
  • Supervise, staff, train, conduct rounding and manage the performance of Food Service Supervisors and/or front-line staff
  • Manage and control labor, resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels and cost control within budgetary guidelines
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ food service systems
  • Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/patient needs and to improve services
