Job Description

LifeWorks Restaurant Group is an independently operated division of Aramark, a leading global provider of food services and facilities management. LifeWorks specializes in crafting unique, innovative dining experiences tailored to meet the specific needs of its clients. By focusing on customized amenity solutions, LifeWorks aims to transform typical dining services into memorable sensory and cultural experiences that invigorate company culture. Their team works closely with clients from the initial stages of space design to the marketing and delivery of the final branded dining product. This approach helps ensure transparency and high-quality service throughout the entire client relationship.

LifeWorks is currently seeking a dynamic Food Service Manager to oversee and elevate their dining operations. This leadership role demands a hands-on approach in managing a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where freshly prepared meals are served from a diverse menu. The Food Service Manager will be responsible for innovating and delivering exceptional dining solutions that cater to evolving customer tastes. Core responsibilities include managing a team, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and achieving financial and productivity targets.

The Food Service Manager will leverage Aramark's coaching model to develop team members and drive individual and team performance to meet client expectations. The role involves recognizing employees' efforts and leading daily team briefings to align goals and reinforce standards. A strong focus on client relationship management is necessary to identify client needs, report operational progress, and deliver excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model.

Financial acumen is critical, as the Food Service Manager will be tasked with maintaining and completing profit and loss (P&L) statements, delivering on financial targets, and educating their team on key metrics and cost control methods to improve margins. Adherence to Operational Excellence fundamentals is essential for managing food and labor initiatives, supervising the team on quality and production, and ensuring efficient operational productivity.

Compliance with company policies and government regulations related to safety, health, wage, and hours is mandatory to maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees alike. The Food Service Manager will also collaborate closely with the Food Service Director to lead front-of-house operations in a cafeteria or residential dining facility setting.

This position requires a minimum of one year of experience in food service management and strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective client and customer rapport. Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and the ability to stand for extended periods, reflecting the active, hands-on nature of the role.

At Aramark, employees are encouraged to grow their skills and embrace responsibilities that contribute positively to the workplace and customer experience. The company fosters an environment that promotes equal employment opportunity and diversity, focused on mutual respect and professional development. Working at LifeWorks Restaurant Group under Aramark provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, innovative team dedicated to elevating dining experiences in a variety of settings. Salary and employment type details can be discussed during the hiring process, emphasizing competitive compensation consistent with industry standards.
