Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three years experience in food service or retail operation
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and staff
  • Skilled in inventory and supply record-keeping
  • Knowledge of local and state health regulations
  • Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate college vehicles
  • Hold required food safety permits and certifications
  • Must pass background and reference checks
  • Must comply with college policies including sexual misconduct disclosure
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business management, or related field
  • Minimum three years' experience in medium-scale food service or retail operations
  • At least two years' supervisory experience including budgeting and marketing development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of health regulations, food safety, menu planning, and POS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience in collaborative and inclusive work environments
  • King County Food Handler's Permit at time of hire
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within three months of hire
  • Valid Washington driver’s license with two years driving experience

Job Duties

  • Oversee food production including staff supervision and menu development
  • Monitor and direct retail operations ensuring quality service and compliance
  • Manage relationships with third-party vending partners
  • Develop marketing strategies for promotions and specials
  • Maintain budgets and financial reports related to food service
  • Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and health code compliance
  • Supervise hiring, training, and evaluation of food service staff
