Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • sanitation (food safety) courses encouraged
  • one year of similar or related experience
  • ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • vision capabilities including depth perception and color vision
  • physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

  • one year of similar or related experience
  • sanitation (food safety) courses encouraged
  • excellent hospitality skills
  • ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • arithmetic skills involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • ability to file, post, and mail materials
  • ability to copy data and interview to obtain basic information
  • ability to guide people and provide basic direction

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name when possible
  • assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions
  • answers the telephone promptly and provides product help
  • works as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant work environment
  • reviews daily production list and assigns tasks
  • ensures food display cases are rotated and replenished
  • scans kitchen for issues and assigns tasks
  • ensures sufficient kitchen staff
  • oversees food quality and presentation across departments
  • manages inventory
  • plans menus with chefs
  • oversees provisioning and purchasing
  • estimates food and beverage costs
  • supervises portion control to minimize waste
  • performs frequent quality checks
  • sets standards for customer service, cleanliness, employee relations, and profitability
  • analyzes sales, prepares ad projections, writes ads
  • plans marketing, advertising, and special restaurant functions
  • monitors health and safety compliance and liquor regulations
  • investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints
  • arranges equipment maintenance and repair
  • selects menu items and sets pricing
  • directs hiring, training, and scheduling
  • enforces sanitary practices
  • follows food safety guidelines
  • handles customer issues
  • maintains cleanliness and professional appearance
  • adheres to company policies and reports to work on time
