Job Requirements

- prior food service or retail experience preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols

Job Duties
- Ensures that the food service department is open and ready for business during food service hours
- gives all customers prompt and courteous service
- effectively communicates with store associates
- follows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store
- controls how much food is prepared to avoid waste while making sure there is enough for customers
- treats all associates with dignity and respect
- advises store manager of any personnel situations or policy violations affecting store performance
- assists in training new associates
- ensures all associate shift procedures are followed
- ensures a safe shopping and working environment
- ensures all safety rules are followed and protective equipment is used
- ensures current plan-o-grams are used
- communicates with manager any special needs or requests
- alerts manager about ordering merchandise to prevent out of stocks and maintain proper inventory
- actively promotes the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app to customers
- communicates benefits of the app
- monitors transactions for misuse of points or discounts
- assists customers in sign-up and use of the app
- ensures the food service appearance reflects company standards
- keeps food service display cases and glass clean
- reports maintenance issues to store manager
- keeps food service areas clean and follows sanitation procedures
- ensures proper use of ladders
- ensures lifting procedures are followed
- ensures wet floor signs are used
- reports accidents promptly
