Job Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to perform physical duties including lifting and moving up to 30 pounds
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to follow sanitation and cleaning procedures
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal courteously with students and staff
Availability to work 25 hours per week from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Willingness to cross-train on cash register
Attend mandatory in-service training sessions

Job Qualifications

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
Demonstrate effective and courteous communication skills
Willingness to cross-train on cash register
Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation procedures
Capability to assist in food preparation
Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds
Ability to work 25 hours per week during specified hours
Attend in-service trainings as required

Job Duties

Responsible for general food preparation, serving, cleaning, and sanitation procedures
Assists with preparing vegetables, fruits, salads, sandwiches, and other menu items
Sets up hot and/or cold food areas
Serve reimbursable daily menu selections to students
Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping floors, cleaning equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing
Assists in receiving and storing food items
Willingness to cross-train on cash register
Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and courteously with students, food service department staff, and school personnel
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors
Attend in-service trainings as required
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
