Food Service Driver

This role as a Van Driver involves the crucial responsibility of transporting meals from the Detroit Harbor Light location to the Monroe Harbor Light location. The driver is accountable for following a set route, making scheduled stops to facilitate timely and efficient meal deliveries that support the mission’s outreach efforts. In addition to their primary transportation duties, the Van Driver will also handle the loading and unloading of meals and potentially assist with the pick-up and delivery of donated items. Maintaining the cleanliness and good condition of the van is an integral part of the job to ensure safety and operational reliability.

Candidates must pass necessary health screenings such as TB testing and undergo police clearance checks. Valid driving credentials, specifically a Michigan Chauffeur license approved under The Salvation Army’s Motor Vehicle Record policies, are mandatory.
