The Food Service Director must navigate compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in addition to adhering to HCSG's internal policies to provide residents and guests with exceptional dining experiences.

This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who can effectively lead and support the food service team. The director manages financial records such as income and expenditures and maintains accurate tracking of food supplies, personnel, and equipment through the use of specialized HCSG software. They are also responsible for conducting staff training sessions, quality control inspections, and in-service learning opportunities to ensure continuous improvement among team members. The Food Service Director often steps into hands-on roles such as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher when necessary, reflecting a versatile approach to leadership.

Effective communication is a key aspect of the role, as the director must relay directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators clearly to the food service staff. The position requires strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including the proper use of protective gear, safe handling of cleaning solutions, and prompt reporting of equipment malfunctions. Maintaining a sanitary environment through infection control protocols such as universal precautions and handwashing procedures is critical. The Food Service Director is not only a manager but also a representative of HCSG, expected to foster courteous and cooperative relationships with supervisors, colleagues, client staff, residents, and guests alike.

This opportunity at HCSG offers a platform for a passionate and driven individual to make a lasting impact in a supportive work environment. The company values diversity and inclusion and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a culturally inclusive team.
