Job Requirements
- Education to associate’s degree level or higher preferred
- Minimum two years experience in food production and supervision
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred or required
- Obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within first 14 days
- Obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within 60 days
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination
- Ability to lift carry push pull up to 50 pounds stand sit bend and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform routine repetitive tasks
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting
- May need to complete sanitation and safety courses
- Residency within service area required
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred
- Two years of experience in quantity food production service and personnel supervision preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred or as required by law
- Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within 14 days of employment
- Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within 60 days
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and effective communication with administration and HCSG leadership
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- Basic computer skills including web-based reporting
- Residency within the service area required
Job Duties
- Oversee the food service program at a single site ensuring high quality standards
- Manage inventory food safety and customer service
- Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of income expenditures food supplies personnel and equipment using HCSG software
- Conduct staff training quality control and in-service sessions
- Perform roles of dietary aide cook and dishwasher as needed
- Communicate directives from client managers administrators and staff effectively
