Job Description

US Foods is a leading American foodservice distributor dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to a diverse range of customers across the foodservice industry. Renowned for its comprehensive product portfolio and commitment to exceptional service, US Foods plays a crucial role in supporting restaurants, healthcare and hospitality facilities, and other foodservice providers to create memorable dining experiences. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer success, US Foods empowers its employees with the tools, resources, and culture necessary to thrive in a dynamic market. The company boasts a strong safety culture and offers numerous opportunities for career advancement, making it an attractive workplace for professionals in the transportation and delivery field.

This role is designed for motivated CDL Class A Delivery Drivers eager to join a stable and growth-oriented company. With competitive starting pay of $33.80 per hour increasing to $37.80 after one year, drivers can expect first-year annual earnings averaging around $96,700, rising to $108,000 including overtime. The job offers weekly pay with the added benefit of returning home daily, working a 5-day schedule with two consecutive days off, and a dispatch window between 3 AM and 5 AM. Drivers will be entrusted with operating trucks safely to meet scheduled delivery windows, ensuring that products reach customers accurately and on time. Responsibilities include careful unloading of goods using equipment like two-wheelers or pallet jacks, verifying delivery accuracy and securing proper customer signatures, handling collections when necessary, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the client experience.

The position requires physical stamina due to lifting and handling 20 to 80+ pounds repetitively each shift and the ability to work efficiently under varying weather conditions with frequent stops. Candidates must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, be at least 21 years old, and hold a valid CDL Class A license with the appropriate endorsements and DOT qualifications. Prior commercial driving experience is essential, with preferences for those who have driven in food or beverage delivery, and the ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle may be required depending on location.

US Foods values its drivers as vital members of the team who embody integrity, reliability, and a collaborative spirit aligned with the companys cultural beliefs. These drivers play a significant role in helping customers succeed and are supported through a comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) plans, life insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for growth. The organization fosters a strong leadership framework and a safety-first environment that ensures employees are respected and empowered in their roles. Joining US Foods as a CDL A Delivery Driver means embarking on a rewarding career path where your skills and dedication are recognized and rewarded, all within a company that prioritizes its employees' success and well-being.
