Job Duties
- Prepare excellent food and baked goods according to a set menu
- Develop a summary to cross-check daily transactions and document meal preparations
- Ensure all components of a meal are included
- Store food accurately and cleanly to adhere to food safety standards
- Follow designated meal schedules and departmental policies when serving food
- Properly handle and maintain cutlery items, especially knives
- Guarantee swift preparation of various food items and drinks
- Add decorative flair to plates to enhance dining experience
- Assist in cleaning refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking appliances
- Abide by all food safety laws including sanitation and food handling
- Follow prescribed uniform standards
- Coordinate menu preparation daily with the manager
- Ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
- Keep work area tidy and well-organized
- Maintain hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting work areas
- Execute cleanliness guidelines including sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
- Keep garbage collection areas and kitchen floors clean and sanitary
- Complete additional tasks as needed including backing up kitchen operations
