The Food Service Crew Member position at Aramark is pivotal within the kitchen environment, reporting directly to the manager to ensure seamless operations. This role involves a variety of essential tasks, including food and meal preparation based on a set menu, managing cash receipts, documenting meal records accurately, and compiling daily reports. In this role, candidates will be responsible for preparing excellent food and baked goods while adhering to food safety standards, including proper storage and cleanliness. They must ensure all components of meals are included and maintain speedy food preparation to meet service schedules. Attention to detail is crucial as this position requires maintaining cutlery care, monitoring food temperatures for safety, and adding decorative touches to enhance the customer's dining experience. Maintaining the cleanliness of refrigeration units, freezers, cooking appliances, and work areas through regular cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing is also required.
Beyond operational duties, the Food Service Crew Member must follow departmental policies, uniforms standards, and collaborate daily with managers to coordinate menus effectively. Physical demands of the role include manual labor such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Candidates need to wear designated uniforms and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
