Job Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions

Job Duties

  • Prepare excellent food and baked goods according to a set menu
  • Develop a summary to cross-check daily transactions and document meal preparations
  • Ensure all components of a meal are included
  • Store food accurately and cleanly to adhere to food safety standards
  • Follow designated meal schedules and departmental policies when serving food
  • Properly handle and maintain cutlery items, especially knives
  • Guarantee swift preparation of various food items and drinks
  • Add decorative flair to plates to enhance dining experience
  • Assist in cleaning refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking appliances
  • Abide by all food safety laws including sanitation and food handling
  • Follow prescribed uniform standards
  • Coordinate menu preparation daily with the manager
  • Ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
  • Keep work area tidy and well-organized
  • Maintain hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting work areas
  • Execute cleanliness guidelines including sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
  • Keep garbage collection areas and kitchen floors clean and sanitary
  • Complete additional tasks as needed including backing up kitchen operations
