Job Requirements
- Prior food service or cashier work experience
- Ability to follow directions, read and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and related personnel
- Computer skills as required for the position
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Florida driver’s license preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred

Job Duties
- Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning
- Participate in ongoing state-approved training and educational initiatives
- Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service and professionalism
- Operate point of sale according to federal guidelines when assigned
- Adhere to food safety rules, departmental procedures and HACCP standards
- Perform kitchen duties including pre-preparation, food production, service, backup, clean-up, and check-in orders
- Assist with ordering, proper storage and inventory of supplies and food items
- Follow written recipes and instructions for food preparation and record time, amounts used, leftovers, and temperature on production worksheets
- Operate food service equipment safely
- Maintain a clean work environment including garbage and waste disposal
- Ensure sanitation practices and personal hygiene standards
- Ensure compliance with federal and state Food and Nutrition Program standards
- Perform necessary cleaning tasks not requiring climbing
- Drive vans and refrigerated/freezer trucks between sites for food delivery
- Promote compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency
- Review current developments and technical information related to job responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures
- Follow federal, state laws and School Board policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee
