Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience
  • basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • good communication skills
  • physical stamina to handle demanding kitchen tasks
  • adherence to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • organize the work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items for preparation
  • handle kitchen utensils and machinery safely
  • apply various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • portion and garnish food as specified
  • maintain food safety standards including proper storage and sanitation
  • clean and sterilize workspaces and equipment
  • provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
  • adhere to safety policies and food safety protocols
  • protect company property
