Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous cooking experience
- basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
- ability to obtain food safety certification
- good communication skills
- physical stamina to handle demanding kitchen tasks
- adherence to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- experience as a cook or in a related role required
- knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
- physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production guidelines
- organize the work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
- measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items for preparation
- handle kitchen utensils and machinery safely
- apply various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- portion and garnish food as specified
- maintain food safety standards including proper storage and sanitation
- clean and sterilize workspaces and equipment
- provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- adhere to safety policies and food safety protocols
- protect company property
