Job Requirements
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for 75 percent or more of the time
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 1 to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate espresso machines and related equipment
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must comply with all food sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse populations
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions and work under pressure
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Deschutes County Food Handlers Card required
- OLCC Alcohol Service Permit preferred
- ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
- Previous experience in food service, barista work, or customer service preferred
- Experience with cash handling preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including email and MS Office
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and patient safety protocols
Job Duties
- Prepares food products and beverages in accordance with safe food handling guidelines
- Operates espresso machine and prepares hot beverages
- Provides excellent customer service and product recommendations
- Stocks and maintains cleanliness of café and deli areas
- Performs light cooking and assists with catering events as server, bartender, or dishwasher
- Assembles and delivers patient meal trays ensuring accuracy and safety
- Cleans dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas following sanitation standards
- Sorts and removes trash and maintains clean kitchen environment
- Supports other food service areas as needed
- Complies with all safety, confidentiality, and organizational policies
