Within its retail operations, Par Pacific owns and operates over 30 retail locations under the nomnom brand in Washington and Idaho, as well as more than 90 retail locations in Hawaii under the Hele brand. The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "PARR" and emphasizes a commitment to sustainable growth, innovation, and community engagement. The retail stores serve as vital community hubs, providing fuel, snacks, and convenience products to local consumers, supported by a collaborative and supportive workplace culture promoting career development.
The Food Service Associate role at nomnom Nine Mile in Spokane, Washington, provides a valuable opportunity to become part of a multi-state team dedicated to keeping communities moving. This full-time position offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.13 to $20.83, plus a $3.00 shift differential, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive compensation. The Food Service Associate is primarily responsible for delivering friendly and efficient service to customers, assisting them in fueling their vehicles and meeting their food service needs. This role blends cashier duties with food preparation and general store maintenance, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Operating at one of nomnom’s Spokane locations, the role involves handling payments, preparing food items under strict sanitary guidelines, replenishing inventory, and resolving customer inquiries or complaints with a customer-centric approach.
Employees in this role receive comprehensive training, including obtaining required food and age-restricted product certifications within two weeks of employment, underpinning safety and compliance standards. The position involves a variety of tasks such as cashiering, stocking, cleaning, assisting with lottery, alcohol, and tobacco sales, and supporting overall store operations. Physical demands include extensive standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive movements consistent with retail service environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential to success.
Nomnom supports career advancement pathways within the organization, offering prospects in retail management, marketing, logistics, and operations. This position serves as a strong foundation for those interested in progressing toward roles like Senior Customer Service Associate, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, Retail Area Manager, and beyond. The company culture values input from all employees and promotes an inclusive, positive workplace. Full-time employees benefit from a robust compensation package including medical, dental, vision, life and accident insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid vacation, and participation in a 401k plan with stock purchase options. Par Pacific is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and non-discrimination. This role not only offers a competitive wage and benefits but provides a rewarding community-focused work experience with significant career growth potential.
