The Food Service Associate role at IKEA is a full-time permanent position based in East Palo Alto within the Food & Restaurant department. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the operational excellence of IKEA Food offerings, which are an integral part of the IKEA experience. As a Food Service Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining menu items according to IKEA’s food concepts, ensuring adherence to food handling, health, and sustainability standards. You will engage with customers by responding to inquiries, helping them make informed choices, and processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately. Maintaining equipment and kitchen cleanliness, along with managing supplies in compliance with food safety standards, is essential to this role. Additionally, you will oversee the Swedish Food Market, managing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitation procedures. This position also demands adherence to workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations while fostering a positive and inclusive work culture that reflects IKEA’s values.

The Food Service Associate works within a team dedicated to delivering a memorable dining experience complemented by sustainability and care for the planet. Shifts require full schedule availability, including evenings and weekends, with work hours ranging from 34 to 40 hours per week. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $28.65.
