Job Requirements

High school diploma
three years experience in quantity food production, preparation and service
valid Manager ServSafe Certificate
ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment
ability to maintain sanitary food preparation environments
strong communication skills
ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
three years of experience in quantity food production, preparation and service
valid Manager ServSafe Certificate
ability to follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Procedures (HAACP)
strong communication and interpersonal skills
experience with food service systems and point of sale technology
leadership experience or capability
knowledge of health and safety food regulations

Job Duties

Assemble, prepare, cook, package and serve appropriate quantities of food for the central kitchen and elementary school
complete and maintain records and reports for foods prepared, items sold and accountability
plan production schedules and provide work direction to Food Service Assistants
assemble, clean and prepare food items, make salads and prepare fruit cups
cook, bake and assemble food items according to menu and production records
set up serving areas and stock serving lines
operate computerized point of sale system and input student prepaid account information
track meals served by eligibility category
maintain work and serving areas in a sanitary manner
store unused food items according to health standards
operate commercial kitchen equipment safely
conduct on the job training for Food Services personnel
attend meetings and in-services as needed
participate in development of recipes and menu items
receive vendor deliveries and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
conduct daily and monthly inventories
perform other related duties as assigned
