The Food Server role at San Manuel Casino is a key position within the Food and Beverage department, operating under the direction of the Supervisor, Food & Beverage. This role entails delivering accurate, responsible, and efficient service to guests while upholding the Yaamava Brand Standards. Key responsibilities include taking food and beverage orders, serving guests promptly and courteously, assisting diners with disabilities, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. The Food Server works closely with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth operation, maintain cleanliness, quality, and uphold exceptional hospitality standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three months of related experience and or training
  • Must be able to read write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations
  • Must be able to manage cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Must be able to provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler's Card
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • No driving responsibilities required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three months of related experience and or training
  • Ability to read write and communicate in English
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical operations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division
  • Ability to manage cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Ability to provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members addressing needs and resolving issues
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to work under pressure staying calm and efficient during busy periods

Job Duties

  • Serve and assist diners with their food orders ensuring a pleasant dining experience
  • Carry plates of food for customers with disabilities providing welcoming and efficient service
  • Take beverage orders as guests are seated deliver drinks promptly and accurately offer refills as necessary
  • Remove empty plates as guests revisit buffet lines ensuring a tidy dining area
  • Replenish tableware as needed maintain a seamless dining experience
  • Maintain cleanliness organization and preparedness of immediate workspace and adjacent areas
  • Clean and reset tables after guests leave ensuring tabletops chair seats and surrounding floors are free of debris
  • Dispose of all refuse accumulated during shift including boxes
  • Keep walkways clear of debris ensuring floor cleanliness
  • Wash and dry serving trays ensuring readiness for use
  • Ensure stations are fully stocked with condiments plastic ware coffee and other necessary items
  • Restock ice bins at start of shift and continuously during operations
  • Assist with special projects including monthly meetings special banquets concerts and special guests
  • Notify leader on duty of problems or concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient department operation
