The Food Server position, operating under the direction of the Supervisor, Food & Beverage, plays a critical role in ensuring extraordinary dining experiences for guests at San Manuel Casino Resort. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, responsible, and efficient service following the Yaamava Brand Standards. The primary responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring timely service, and maintaining guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. The position collaborates closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep a seamless flow of service, uphold cleanliness, and maintain the hospitality standards expected by the resort. The Food Server ensures that all guests feel welcomed, assisted, and attended to in a courteous and professional manner. This role further involves assisting with special projects, restocking supplies, maintaining tidy workspaces, and supporting efficient operations during busy periods. Employees in this capacity can expect a dynamic work environment that requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to hospitality excellence. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are typical, and physical endurance along with a neat appearance are expected to meet the demands of the position.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum three months of related experience and or training
- ability to read write and communicate in English
- ability to perform simple math operations including addition subtraction multiplication and division
- ability to manage cash transactions accurately and securely
- ability to provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members addressing needs and resolving issues
- clear and effective communication with guests and team members
- ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure during busy periods
- obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card
- gaming license may be required by San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
- no driving responsibilities required
- willing to work evening weekend and holiday shifts
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- maintain a neat clean and well-groomed appearance according to policies
- work in a climate-controlled casino and resort environment
- able to sit walk and stand for extended periods
- tolerate exposure to fumes and airborne particles including secondhand smoke
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Serves and assists diners with their food orders ensuring a pleasant dining experience
- carries plates of food for customers with disabilities providing welcoming and efficient service
- takes beverage orders as guests are seated delivers drinks promptly and accurately and offers refills to maintain guest satisfaction
- removes empty plates as guests revisit buffet lines ensuring a tidy dining area
- replenishes tableware as needed
- maintains cleanliness organization and preparedness of workspace and surrounding areas
- cleans and resets tables after guests leave ensuring surfaces and floors are debris-free
- disposes of refuse including boxes during shift
- keeps walkways clear of debris
- washes and dries serving trays for readiness
- ensures stations are fully stocked with condiments plastic ware coffee and other items
- restocks ice bins continuously
- assists with special projects such as monthly meetings banquets concerts and special guests
- notifies leader on duty of problems or concerns
- performs other assigned duties to support department operations
