Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be over 21 years of age
  • Obtain and maintain SNHD Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments
  • Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
  • Monitor tables to ensure guests are satisfied with their meals and service
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including good hygiene practices and proper clothing, shoes, and jewelry guidelines
  • Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, and utensils, using dishwashing equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining
  • Reset tables for new guests, including placing clean tableware and condiments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables and utensils
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
