Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, Servers interact daily with residents, families, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. This position primarily involves delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently managing dining-related tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. Servers prepare tables by laying out napkins and utensils, replenish condiments, and stay knowledgeable about current menu selections and any deviations to provide helpful and accurate information to diners. The duties also include assisting guests with menu choices, conveying special requests to kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth flow of the dining experience from start to finish. \n\nServers at Front Porch are expected to be attentive and responsive to guests’ needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, and important at all times. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, basic food knowledge, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving up to 40 pounds. Adhering to safety, health regulations, and company policies is essential, alongside participation in training and safety drills. This position may involve working in an environment with varying noise levels and occasional exposure to environmental elements such as humidity or temperature extremes. It also offers an opportunity to contribute to special events and fill in for absent staff, making it an engaging and dynamic role within the community. Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- Up to 1 month related experience or training
- Ability to read a limited number of 2-3-syllable words
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract 2-digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out 1-2-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
- Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks
- Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
- Direct guests to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details, communicating specific guest needs to the cooks
- Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Filling in for absent staff as needed
