Job Requirements

  • Some high school education
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification required
  • Ability to deliver quality customer service
  • Basic knowledge of menu items and food preparation
  • Willingness to work flexible part-time hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and weekdays
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and wear safety equipment
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment physical, physical abilities test, drug screen, and background clearance

  • Ability to interact warmly and effectively with elderly residents
  • Team player willing to assist with special events and fill in for absent staff
  • Ability to communicate specific guest needs to kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare tables by setting napkins, utensils and refilling condiments
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations
  • Direct guests to tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist with drink selection, and communicate guest needs to kitchen staff
  • Maintain proper dining experience including delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks and assist with special events as needed
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
  • Follow cleanliness standards and adhere to health codes and safety guidelines
  • Attend all mandatory in-service meetings and comply with policies
  • Understand and follow facility's fire and disaster plans
