Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education
  • up to 1-month related experience or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily
  • willingness to undergo pre-employment physical and physical abilities test
  • successful completion of drug screening
  • clearance of Department of Justice Criminal background check
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and weekdays

Job Duties

  • Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors ensuring satisfaction
  • prepare tables by laying out napkins and utensils, refill condiments, and perform other preparatory tasks
  • stay updated on menu choices, specialties and any deviations, communicate status of kitchen items
  • direct guests to tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform guests about food preparation details, communicate guest needs to cooks
  • maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
  • perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • fill in for absent staff as needed
  • assist with special events as needed
  • greet all guests and owners warmly
  • follow highest cleanliness standards and comply with all policies, health codes and guidelines
  • perform duties safely using required safety equipment
  • report any hazards or accidents
  • practice proper body mechanics and participate in safety programs
  • attend all mandatory in-service meetings
  • comply with all department and facility policies
  • understand and follow fire and disaster plans during drills and emergencies
