Job Description

Fortrex Solutions is a prominent leader in food safety solutions, specializing in contract sanitation and chemical solutions for the food processing industry. With over 50 years of experience, the company has developed lasting partnerships and operates across more than 250 plants throughout North America. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Fortrex Solutions employs over 10,000 dedicated team members who are committed to protecting the food supply chain. Their mission emphasizes eliminating risks to ensure families everywhere can consume food without fear, focusing on safety at every step—from plant workers to end consumers. The organization values honesty, ethical standards, teamwork, and innovation geared towards sustainable and effective food safety solutions. This commitment to excellence has established Fortrex as a trusted leader in the industry.

The Food Safety Sanitor role at Fortrex Solutions is an entry-level position ideal for individuals who are meticulous, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a safer food production environment. The role offers $17.30 per hour with a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift. Employees have the opportunity to earn a sign-on bonus, participate in comprehensive training programs, and work within a supportive team environment. As a Food Safety Sanitor, you will perform sanitation labor following the company's eight-step sanitation process, ensuring strict compliance with all food safety regulations and internal safety protocols. Tasks will include handling and cleaning equipment, careful application of approved chemicals, and the use of personal protective equipment such as gloves, face shields, goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses to maintain safety and hygiene standards.

The role requires physical stamina to work in wet, hot, or cold environments and involves standing, lifting hoses, and crouching for extended periods. Safety is paramount; thus, employees are trained in lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures and expected to perform all tasks with attention to detail and compliance. Fortrex Solutions understands the importance of employee safety and well-being and provides a workplace culture where every team member is treated with respect and valued as part of a family. With a focus on professional growth, employees have access to training and development opportunities to advance their careers within the company. The organization also promotes equal opportunity, ensuring that all qualified applicants receive fair treatment regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or other protected statuses.

Joining Fortrex means becoming part of a mission-driven company dedicated to protecting the food supply chain in North America. It means working alongside a team that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This position is perfectly suited for those who want to start a career in food safety, value teamwork, and are ready to contribute to creating safer food environments for consumers nationwide. If you have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to safety, and the motivation to build a meaningful career, Fortrex Solutions is eager to have you on board.
