The role available at the Tampa, USA facility is critical to ensuring that food served meets the highest standards set forth by regulatory health authorities and the company. This position, based on-site, offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $90,000 and demands a professional who is dedicated to food safety and quality management. The individual in this role will be responsible for the implementation, auditing, assessment, and training of food safety and quality management systems within the assigned Customer Service Center (CSC).
The responsibilities include the development, deployment, implementation, and continuous management of the food safety preventive controls program. The role requires close attention to regulatory compliance, including adherence to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and other regional food safety standards and client specifications.
This position involves managing the food safety program to ensure FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) preventive controls are effective and all documentation is accurately maintained. The role provides technical expertise in HACCP, food safety, sensory evaluation, and quality control. Regular assessments, routine microbiological testing, and thorough reviews of HACCP logs and other food safety documentation are essential to maintain high standards. The position also supports leadership with audit preparations and inspections, coaching teams before, during, and after these evaluations to ensure compliance and excellence.
Additionally, supervising pest control programs, managing related contracts and suppliers, and investigating food safety issues form an important part of the responsibilities. The role requires active collaboration across operations, production, sales, human resources, regional quality teams, and other quality managers. This collaboration ensures the sustainability and continuous improvement of the food safety program while fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and customers.
