Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in food science, food microbiology, chemistry, biology or related field
- certified preventive controls qualified individual (PCQI)
- certification in hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP)
- minimum five years experience in food safety roles
- minimum two years management experience
- knowledge of FDA FSMA, cGMP, HACCP, USDA regulations
- strong analytical and leadership skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work independently and in fast-paced environment
- proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and cloud systems
Job Qualifications

- five or more years of food safety experience including minimum two years in management
- technical proficiency in food microbiology, food chemistry, and food safety regulations
- thorough understanding of FDA FSMA, cGMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations
- proven analytical and leadership skills
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- collaborative leadership ability
- excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems
Job Duties
- ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA and USDA
- manage the food safety program and ensure FDA FSMA preventive controls are effective
- provide technical expertise in HACCP, food safety, sensory and quality evaluations
- conduct monthly assessments of the food safety program
- conduct routine microbiological testing
- review and analyze food safety documents including HACCP logs
- support inspection and audit readiness activities
- supervise pest control program and related contractors
- conduct investigations on food safety matters
- perform and document quality checks
- interface with internal teams and external stakeholders to sustain food safety programs
- monitor and prepare food safety and quality reports
- maintain updated manuals and documentation
- recruit, train and evaluate food safety staff
