We are currently seeking a motivated Food Runner/server assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in contributing to a seamless dining experience by efficiently expediting orders from the kitchen to the dining area. The Food Runner/server assistant supports the servers by handling the timely delivery of dishes, helping maintain cleanliness by wiping tables, clearing dirty dishes, and resetting tables for incoming guests. In addition, the role involves servicing guests with essentials such as water, coffee, and condiments, ensuring their needs are promptly met. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintain a keen eye for detail, and contribute positively to a friendly and productive team culture. This position demands physical endurance and a proactive approach to customer service, all while upholding the restaurant’s high standards for quality and hospitality.

Job Requirements

  • Physical stamina to stand and move for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • prior experience in food service preferred
  • understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work effectively within a team
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred
  • skilled with the use of hand tools or machines needed for the position
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
  • able to stand for extended periods of time
  • able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

  • Delivering dishes to the correct tables
  • preparing sauces and condiments
  • wipe tables and seats with sanitizer and cloths
  • scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchen for cleaning
  • perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties to facilitate customer service
