The Food Runner/Prebusser role at Lure Fish House is a vital position that supports the smooth operation of the restaurant and ensures guest satisfaction by delivering food promptly and accurately. As a Food Runner/Prebusser, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting meals according to the restaurant’s high standards, including ensuring proper garnishes and accompaniments are included. You will also manage the pre-bussing of tables throughout the meal to maintain a clean and comfortable dining area. This position requires attention to detail, memorization skills for seat numbers and floor charts, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. Additionally, you should have a strong knowledge of the menu to perform quality checks throughout your shift and to confidently answer any guest inquiries.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous food service or customer service experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to memorize floor layout and seat numbers
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced setting
  • ability to perform light cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Run food to guest's table
  • pre-buss tables "full hands in full hands out"
  • ability to memorize seat numbers and pivot points
  • ability to memorize the floor chart
  • respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
  • perform other restaurant duties as assigned
  • interact with guests professionally
  • light cleaning

  • run the window with minimal or no supervision
