Job Description

Loews New Orleans Hotel, located in the vibrant Warehouse District, stands as a beacon of comfort and luxury in the heart of New Orleans, famously celebrated by Tennessee Williams for its charm and romance. The hotel embodies the essence of the Big Easy, offering guests an experience deeply rooted in the cultural crossroads of this historic city. Known for its attentive service, elegant accommodations, and exceptional dining venues, Loews New Orleans Hotel is a premier destination for travelers seeking both sophistication and the unique spirit of New Orleans.

The role we are offering is for a dedicated Food and Beverage Service Assistant who will support servers in delivering top-tier dining experiences in both our restaurant and lounge areas. This position is key to maintaining the smooth operation and high standards our guests expect when they dine with us. The ideal candidate will be an energetic team player, skilled in hospitality, and committed to maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in service areas. As part of the food and beverage team, this role requires assisting with opening and closing duties, restocking service stations, and ensuring that guests receive prompt and courteous service. Attention to detail is essential, as you will be responsible for bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables to hotel standards as well as helping servers with food and beverage delivery.

Moreover, this position demands flexibility, as shifts may include weekends and holidays, reflecting the continuous service culture of the hospitality industry. The candidate must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and engaging in activities that involve bending and carrying. Excellent English communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset are a must to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity or certification with a Food Handler's Card is preferred, and while a high school diploma is favored, it is not mandatory.
