Job Description

Labriola Michigan is a vibrant part of the Doughboy Restaurant Group, an esteemed hospitality company founded by Rich Labriola, known for high-quality dining experiences in Chicago. This group includes notable establishments such as Labriola Chicago, Labriola Oak Brook, and Stan's Donuts, each celebrated for their commitment to excellence and innovation in the food industry. The company is currently undergoing an exciting phase of expansion and refinement, aiming to set new standards in hospitality through innovative concepts and exceptional service.

We are currently hosting a Job Fair taking place from March 21 to March 26, 2026, at 535 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL. This event provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to engage with the company, participate in on-the-spot interviews, and explore various career paths within our expanding team. We are hiring for all positions and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, emphasizing inclusivity and diversity in our workforce.

As part of our team, we are seeking dedicated Food Runners who will play a critical role in delivering outstanding dining experiences. This hourly position offers a pay rate of $12.62 plus great tips, reflecting our commitment to rewarding hard work and excellent service. Food Runners at Labriola Michigan are responsible for efficiently managing food delivery from the kitchen to the customers, ensuring that every dish reaches the table promptly and in perfect condition. This role requires attention to detail, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for hospitality.

Food Runners will be involved in setting up the kitchen line for food expo events, reading tickets to manage hot and cold dishes, organizing completed orders, and carrying signature deep-dish pizzas to the tables with professionalism and care. The role demands a combination of speed, accuracy, and customer service skills to maintain the high standards expected by our patrons.

In addition to a supportive work environment, we offer a comprehensive benefits package. This includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, with a generous 75% employer contribution to individual Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO or PPO medical plans. Our 401(k) plan includes a dollar-for-dollar match up to 4% with immediate vesting, ensuring that team members can plan for their financial future confidently. We also provide paid leave and sick leave hours to promote a healthy work-life balance.

While prior experience as a Food Runner is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates should ideally have at least one year of related experience, but we are open to enthusiastic individuals ready to learn and grow within our team. Food Handler Certification is preferred upon hire, but not required immediately; new hires must obtain this certification within 30 days of employment to comply with health and safety standards.

Joining Labriola Michigan means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to hospitality excellence. We pride ourselves on nurturing career growth, promoting from within, and fostering a workplace culture that values teamwork, respect, and customer satisfaction. Whether you are just beginning your hospitality career or looking to advance, this role offers valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to be part of a respected brand in the Chicago culinary scene.
