Job Description
Chili's Grill & Bar is a renowned casual dining restaurant that originated in Dallas, Texas in 1975. Since its inception, Chili's has established a strong reputation for delivering classic American dishes such as Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, sizzling fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. As a leader in the casual dining industry, Chili's prides itself on its commitment to service, hospitality, and community giving. The restaurant's culture centers on creating memorable experiences for every Guest, emphasizing a warm atmosphere where great food is paired with outstanding hospitality. Over the decades, Chili's has expanded its presence nationally and internationally, attracting a loyal customer base that values both the quality of the food and the friendly, welcoming service.
The role of a Food Runner at Chili's is pivotal in enhancing the Guests' dining experience by bridging the kitchen and the dining area with efficient and cheerful service. This position is designed not only for those looking to start a career in the hospitality industry but also for individuals eager to grow quickly into a server role. Food Runners at Chili's are enthusiastic team players who understand that great food alone is not enough without excellent hospitality. They bring energy, passion, and a fun personality to the table, making every Guest feel special and valued.
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly to the Guests while maintaining a clean and hospitable dining environment. They ensure that tables are pre-bussed by clearing empty glassware, plateware, and debris to facilitate a smooth dining experience. Working closely with other Team Members, Food Runners play a collaborative role in maximizing Guest satisfaction. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing part-time or full-time work, and a fast hiring process, making it accessible for many candidates. The dynamic work environment encourages growth and development, providing clear pathways for advancement within the restaurant. Being available to work during weekends, weekdays, and holidays is essential, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to being open and ready to serve Guests at all times.
Overall, this role is suited for individuals with a positive attitude who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume settings. It is ideal for those who are quick thinkers and who enjoy engaging with people, providing personalized services that elevate the overall dining experience. Prior experience in food service is a plus but not mandatory, as Chili's focuses heavily on training and team development to help new hires succeed and grow.
