The Food Runner role at Caesars Entertainment is integral in maintaining seamless food delivery and service quality from the kitchen to the customer. The role also involves assisting with expediting orders during slower times, supporting team members to sustain efficient kitchen-to-table food flow, and representing Caesars by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. The Food Runner works collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers, ensuring customers receive quality food service promptly while managing supportive communication within the team. The physical aspects of the job include lifting heavy trays and trays up to 70 pounds, walking and standing for long periods, and working in environments that may have secondary smoke. The position typically requires at least six months of kitchen experience in a high-volume setting, with a preference for candidates with a high school diploma or GED.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Responsible for providing quality food and service to Harrah's guests
  • Assists by ensuring hot food from the kitchen is immediately served to guests
  • Ensures all plate presentations meet guidelines for portion, condiments, and plate ware
  • Prioritizes hot food waiting in the kitchen window to be served
  • Greets and serves meals to customers ensuring a pleasant dining experience
  • Familiar with all steps of service servers provide when serving food
  • Observes all sanitary and safety requirements
  • Maintains cleanliness, proper presentation and temperature of food
  • Ensures consistent flow of food from kitchen to guest in a healthy and sanitary manner
  • Adheres to departmental and company policies
  • Assists with expediting food orders during slow periods
  • Acts as a role model presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encouraging others
