The Food Runner/Expeditor role at Hyatt in Sacramento is an essential position designed to support the Food Servers by assisting in delivering exceptional guest service. This role also occasionally extends support to bartenders as required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and the physical ability to lift, pull, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds. This fast-paced position involves continuous interaction with guests, requiring attentiveness, efficiency, and a friendly demeanor.

This opportunity operates on an on-call basis, with employees working up to five shifts per month. Candidates must be able to report their availability weekly to the Food and Beverage Manager by 9:00 pm every Tuesday to accommodate scheduling needs. Compensation for this hourly role is set at $18.89 per hour, reflecting Hyatt's commitment to fair and competitive pay.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality required
  • Valid Food Handler's card and RBS training required
  • Open and flexible availability including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work on-call shifts up to five per month

Job Duties
