The open role is a vital position within the House of Blues team that requires assisting in the concessions and food room to ensure seamless kitchen operations. This role demands efficiency, attentiveness, and exceptional communication skills to guarantee that all kitchen orders are delivered promptly, courteously, and professionally. The position includes performing a range of duties from table maintenance to opening, running, and closing activities following House of Blues service standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in high volume kitchen operations
  • Experience in food service as expeditor or server in high volume environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and time management
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety standards
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced and loud environment
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in high volume kitchen operations
  • Food service experience as either an expeditor or server in a high volume environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and time management
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and food safety
  • Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Preferred: Point of sales experience

Job Duties

  • Assist concessions and food room to ensure all kitchen orders are delivered promptly and courteously
  • Perform table maintenance duties according to House of Blues service standards
  • Execute opening, running, and closing duties in compliance with established standards
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a polite and professional manner
  • Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through the work area during shifts
  • Keep the floor clean, neat, and free of food, trash, and obstacles
  • Clean spills immediately and use appropriate floor signs to ensure safety
  • Dispose of trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
  • Clean and stock the line to par throughout shifts
  • Stay updated on standard operating procedures and current menu items
  • Follow private party service guidelines to ensure successful events
  • Assist other employees as needed
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Occasionally work at special events scheduled throughout the venue
