The On Call Food Runner at Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina is a vital member of the food and beverage team, responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to guests while supporting the smooth operations of the dining area. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this role is perfect for candidates passionate about service excellence and eager to embrace the spirit of aloha. The Food Runner plays an essential role in maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction by anticipating guest needs, assisting in the setup and breakdown of dining areas, and collaborating closely with servers and kitchen staff. This position offers an hourly wage of $21.75 and employment as an on-call team member, offering flexible work opportunities with competitive pay.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience in food running or similar role in a luxury hospitality setting
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency with basic computer functions
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • passion for guest service and teamwork
  • legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • at least 1 year previous experience in a similar position in a luxury environment

Job Duties

  • Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner
  • greet guests according to Four Seasons standards to ensure superior service
  • anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service
  • assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages
  • assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations
