This role is a pivotal position within the kitchen and dining operations team. Serving as a liaison between the kitchen and the dining area, the individual in this role will be responsible for coordinating food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen workspace, and assisting the Chef with expediting food from the line. The role demands an energetic, enthusiastic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards. The successful candidate will be expected to know dining room table numbers and positions, uphold uniform and personal appearance standards, and provide courteous, professional service that anticipates and addresses guests' needs.
As part of the responsibilities, this individual will manage requisitions and daily ordering of supplies, complete closing duties including restocking for the next shift, and communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house employees. They must be familiar with the food menus and have basic knowledge of food terminology, supported by a valid Food Handler's Card. The role also enforces company policies on grooming, dress, and uniform to ensure a consistent and professional presentation.
Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in fine dining and bartending, with additional knowledge of French, Italian, or Californian cuisine considered a strong advantage. Experience in a hotel setting is preferred along with the ability to work weekends and holidays. A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory. The starting base pay rate for this role is $16.90, reflecting the skill and professionalism required for this position. Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in fine dining
- High school diploma preferred
- Have at least 2 years of experience in bartending in addition to knowledge of French Italian Californian cuisine preferred
- Hotel experience preferred
- Available to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Consistently keep the kitchen organized and clean
- Needs to know dining room table numbers and positions
- Set up kitchen work station to assist Chef on expediting of the food off the line
- Deliver and serve food entrees to the guest
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
- Have knowledge of and understand the food menus
- Knows FORBES standards
- Complete requisition for daily ordering of supplies
- Be able to take instruction from the Chef working the line
- Complete closing duties including restocking items and set up for the next shift
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs
- Speak with others using clear and professional language
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
